La filosofía de Palma Camisería.

1890

True Story: our ancestor Abdala Marcos opened a small haberdashery in Mexico. The rest is history—with a little bit of family legend sprinkled in. We present that here for your sartorial edification.

1910

During the political unrest of the 1910s, Abdala was forced to relocate the business in the state of Nuevo Leon

1950

By the 1950s, the business refocused on manufacturing. Although the name Palma was no longer in use, our tradition continued, always focused on excellent product.

1970

By 1970, we’d added synthetics to the mix (don’t judge—we were experimenting). It was also a time where we developed some of our most iconic marketing campaigns.

1990

The 90s saw the business pass on to the fourth generation. Our history stretched back 100 years at this point, and we never lost focus. At this point, our collections spanned a wide array of product categories.

2010

By 2010, we had swapped out our fax machines for Shopify storefronts. We kept our signature taste, quality fabrics, and quality stitching.

2025

In 2025, we dusted off the old family ledger, found an invoice from 1890, and decided it was time. Palma was relaunched.

Phrasebook de Palma

Abdala Marcos e hijos

(Noun; Spanish)

Where it all started, way back in the late 19th century, when our ancestor Abdala Marcos boarded a steamship for Mexico. True story, in the 1920s, when shirts were made stitch by painstaking stitch, Abdala Marcos & Sons operated one of Mexico’s first and finest camiserías eléctricas. What they got up to outside of working hours has been lost to family history. But suffice to say, our great-grandfather had some great times wearing these shirts. Perhaps yours did too.

Cotton: a fabric we’ve been working with for over a century. We mercerize our cotton, making it perfect for life in the heat.

Algodón

(Noun; Spanish)

Aventura

(Noun; Spanish)

Adventure; what we live for, every day in the heat.

Originally a haberdashery—a dealer in men’s shirts, suits, and hats. Now, a shirtmaker.

Camisería
